An authority in the goth and synthwave world, Sharlese’s encyclopedic knowledge of music and dedication to community building has cemented herself as one of the west coast’s most fascinating and sought after DJs. Sharlese has been in a clearly inspired place after 21 years of work in the Seattle scene, now finally she’s been breaking through: this year alone she’s had breakout sets at IFM in the Netherlands, Tresor West in Dortmund and upcoming sets at Panorama Bar and Making Time Festival in Philidelphia and on top of that has released critically acclaimed mixes for pi pi pi and KIHDI podcasts. By day, Sharlese works at the legendary radio station KEXP as producer of The Afternoon Show, rotating DJ on Expansions, and host of Mechanical Breakdown as well as the station’s Programming Education Manager where she works closely with youth who are breaking into the radio industry. We’re excited to highlight Sharlese as one of the American underground’s most beloved rising stars who truly embodies living and breathing music.

A California native raised in Seattle from the age of 13, Julie Herrera considers the NorthWest home and Seattle takes pride in claiming her as their own. Music has always been a source of inspiration for Julie. Her older sibling’s collection of 70’s and 80’s soul, disco and R&B records, coupled with her own tastes for new wave and dance artists of the 80’s set the foundation for her future in music.
In the early 90’s Julie was instinctively drawn to Seattle’s underground dance music culture. With her passion for the art of DJing, a ferocious appetite for varied styles of music and unbridled soulful style -- once Julie took to the decks in 1996, she quickly made waves. Her residencies with the Hitgirl Collective and HotBox shows had an important and long-lasting impact for her as an artist and the Seattle nightlife community, elevating herself and a host of other emerging female talent at the time.
With a career now past the 20 year mark, Julie is active as ever, holding down residencies with revered and respected crews such as Flammable, Noise Complaint, Hitgirl! and one half of the beloved WonderTwinz.
Julie’s ability to take you on a journey from classic to modern house and techno stylings, tech-house, disco, Latin and afrobeat is unmatched! A true artist with a captivating presence both as a DJ and performer, she is as much fun to hear as she is to watch. Beat by beat, Julie will leave you with an electrifying, soulful and uplifting dancefloor experience.

Snapdragon lives true to her name as an artist to watch in the Northwest scene. With fierce intent, she orchestrates harmonies on the dancefloor with her audience. Seattle KEXP-FM described her as doing so with “eyes firmly on the dancefloor.” It comes as no surprise that her productions embody this attention to detail as well. While taking influence from artists such as Nora En Pure, Ferreck Dawn, SIDEPIECE, and Giorgia Angiuli, Snapdragon seeks to carve out a space of her own. With track releases on Uniting Souls, Feral One Records, and Late Night Munchies, melodic and emotional energy truly shines in Snapdragon’s music and DJ sets.

Merlin the Girl is a DJ and singer/songwriter/musician currently in Long Beach, CA. In 2017, she founded a queer party in San Francisco called Booty Patrol, where they held down a monthly residency at F8, the home of Housepitality Wednesdays. Since she has started dj’ing in 2015, she has played a zillion and a half times on the playa and in clubs, festivals and parties in California, Washington and Paris, France.
